Steps in Use Case: Market Linkage
Use Case Step: Physical Delivery of Goods sold online in the Digital Farmer Marketplace

Raghu searches for a logistics service provider (transporter) who can deliver goods at the designated Warehouse. He books the transporter online and the transporter picks up goods from Raghu’s farm.  Transporter delivers the goods to the warehouse and the Warehouse issues a warehouse receipt and shares the payment authentication code and the warehouse receipt to Raghu. Raghu sends the warehouse receipt and the payment authentication code to his bankwhich authenticates it and instructs the Escrow account to release the payment to Raghu’s bank. Raghu receives payment for his produce, which is much more than what he used to get when he used to take goods to the local agriculture market and wait for an interested buyer to buy his goods.

The following are some generic transactions to facilitate this step:

  1. Raghu searches for logistics service provider (transporter) to carry goods from his farm to the warehouse
  2. Raghu makes online payment to the transporter to book service
  3. Logistics provider identifies warehouse location and deliver the goods
  4. Warehouse operator generates goods receipt (warehouse receipt) and digitally sends to Raghu to claim remittance from buyer’s bank

The following are contextual workflows where the generic transactions support:

  •  The business transaction happened in digital marketplace gets complete when the actual supply of goods or service happens physically via a Supply Chain Management workflow
